NOT Dance?!?!

Men Can Learn to Dance with New How to Dance Videos from Dancing with the Stars Pro-Dancer Brian Fortuna

LONDON, March 13, 2012 -- If men could have a pro-dancer from Dancing with the Stars come to their house and teach them how to dance in a private lesson, they'd give it a go, right? It'd be world-class instruction in total privacy. Now, for just $19.99, it's possible.

Men who have two left feet won't have to worry about being wallflowers when they learn how to dance with "Brian's Beginners," a series of new videos starring Dancing with the Stars performer Brian Fortuna at http://www.BriansBeginners.com.

"Men are always asking, 'How can I learn to dance?' and 'How can I dance without being embarrassed?'" said Suzanne Vennard, producer and director of "Brian's Beginners," which is available on Amazon for the low price of only $19.99 per video.

"Learning to dance with DVDs removes all the fears of walking into an imposing dance studio and interacting with strangers. Men and women can learn to dance in the comfort and privacy of your home and repeat steps as often as needed without any fear of ridicule."

Each DVD features two dance classes and teach dances like the Waltz, Fox Trot, Cha Cha, and Swing, said Vennard who has helped more than 20 million people learn to dance through DVDs and YouTube sessions. The Brian's Beginners DVDS are just now being launched in the United States to help people learn to dance in clubs and learn how to ballroom dance at weddings.

"Most people, regardless of age, fitness level or ability, can pick this up. It's incredibly simple. And it's exactly the type of dancing that you'd do at a social function or wedding," she said. "So whenever a band strikes up a slow tune, something classical, or a big band number, like Frank Sinatra, these are the steps you're going to want to dance.
"Women who love to dance will love giving the videos on how to dance to their husbands and boyfriends," she said. "Women can finally go out for a night of dancing.

When they go to weddings, they won't have to drag their partners to the dance floor."
DVDs remove the main stumbling blocks from people learning to dance. There is no criticism. No one sees you make a mistake. You can try over and over until dancing becomes second nature. You can wear whatever you want and feel totally comfortable with the learning process.

The dance instruction is straightforward and clear. You'll get relaxed, fun exercise as well as picking up enough steps to dance the night away at a club or social occasion.

"The rhythms are infectious and you'll easily pick up the simple, effective steps," said Vennard, the world's only Dance Class Critic, who has analyzed over 1,000 dance lessons and courses for the complete beginner. She knows what makes a good class and a bad one, what inspires pupils and what turns them away, which classes and teaching methods get the best results for the pupils and which get the worst, which types of classes rip people off and which are great value.

For each DVD class, the steps are shown first for the women, then the men's steps and finally how to dance them together. There's an intermediate section and a section on how to learn Wedding Dances for each class.

"Brian is such an incredibly gifted teacher that by following along with him, you can learn to Waltz in just 10 minutes," she said. "And it'll look amazing."

Brian says, "Guys, don't you think it's time you learned how to take a woman in your arms and dance with her? It's much easier than you think, I promise. Just give me a few minutes of your time and I'll show you how. You'll never regret learning to dance." He calls these DVDs a "love letter to the world of dance that has brought so much joy into my life. With these DVDs I want to make sure that anyone who wants to dance, gets that chance."

Be A Poker Pro?

Get Staked at Your Favorite Casino or the WSOP by HogWildPokerLeagues.com

The Original Online League Community Will Stake Outstanding Players to $500 at Their Favorite Casino Tournament

One Player Will Get the Dream of a Lifetime with a $13,000 WSOP Package

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 21, 2012 -- If you've always wanted to be a poker pro, where someone else pays your entry fees to play in casino poker tournaments, your day has come!
HogWildPokerLeagues.com, the original online poker league community, is launching today a new program that rewards multiple players each month for their outstanding play by staking them to $500 toward live action tournament play at a casino of their choice.

But that's only the beginning-- HogWildPokerLeagues.com will also grant one player the dream of a lifetime—a $13,000 package to play in the World Series of Poker! And here's what's even better...there is no fee to participate and no monthly subscription.

All that's required is for a player to register on the HogWildPokerLeagues.com website and sign up free to play games in the HogWild Staking Series each month. Players must play eight or more games to be eligible -- and Sunday and Wednesday night qualifiers are also $200 freerolls. Participants can check the Staking Series leaderboard to watch as they play their way to the top. Only a player's best eight games are counted. Players who finish among the leading fifteen each month will receive the $500 buy-in to their chosen casino, plus HogWild™ Poker apparel that declares to one and all that they're a staked poker pro.

The player with the twelve best game performances through May 31 will be awarded with the $13,000 WSOP Main Event package.

"Players in our leagues love the fact that their game improves rapidly when they compete in our league format," says HogWild CEO Jeff Amrein. "Along the way almost every player has a dream to be staked as a pro and we wanted to give many players that experience, rewarding them for their demonstrated skill over multiple games. Nearly 50 players will live that chance in the next three months thanks to this series."

Players who are awarded the $500 staking prize will pick their event, have HogWild Poker verify it and then the funds will be transferred. In exchange, each player who participates must commit to providing 10% of any winnings to Poker Gives, HogWild Poker's charity of choice. Poker Gives raises funds through poker events and private donations for mainstream charities on behalf of the poker world.

HogWild Poker was the first company to socialize poker online. Conceived initially as a way to allow players to gather their friends for virtual home games, the site expanded to become the premiere provider of player-created leagues. Anyone can now start a private or open league at no cost, and set the rules. These include choosing custom blinds, determining the length and the frequency of the games, and deciding whether to keep it private or open it to all comers.

HogWild Poker does the rest-- alerting all the players via email and sending them a text just before the game starts. There are a team of moderators who guide new players and keep the atmosphere respectful. All the points and statistics are accrued, and the rankings are displayed on each league's very own leaderboard.

There are more than 1,000 leagues already established on HogWildPokerLeagues.com. And there are several reasons for the site's rapidly growing popularity, not the least of which is that there's no subscription package to buy, and no display ads or banners.

Built to emphasize the player-engagement aspects of poker, HogWildPokerLeagues.com offers the most sophisticated communications tools in the game—voicechat, emails and posting to Facebook-style league walls and chat rooms. Furthermore, players can engage in Prop Bets, a feature unique to HogWild Poker.

Players can purchase HogWild "Hog Bucks" currency that allows them place bounties on each other or challenge their opponents to Prop Bets such as "Best Hand of The Night," "Last Player Standing," or "Leader at End of Round."

In addition to unique social-interaction features, HogWild Poker has innovated a game function that actually makes the play much more like a live game – hole cards that are dealt "down. " When a players looks at his or her hand, their hole cards "light up" -- allowing for plenty of speculation as to whether that is a signal of strength or weakness.

Top players from each league automatically advance to the "Top Hog" site-wide competition where they compete against other leagues for $500. HogWild Poker also holds regular freerolls and promotions that give players a chance to win live buy-ins.

For newcomers to poker, a locally friendly game amongst pals is a perfect solution provided by HogWild Poker. But for players with a commitment to serious play, prevailing over the long haul against the competition in a series of events—not just one where a lucky draw can make a winner--proves your enduring skill and strength. Being on the top of the HogWild Poker leaderboard establishes one's mastery of the game.

"It's really an amazing site. If you like online poker in leagues, HogWild is a great place to play," says legendary pro and World Series winner Phil Hellmuth.

YouDoPR.com members have already reported impressive results. The very first author to sign up received interest from a national TV show from a www.YouDoPR.com press release distribution.

"Members can also instantly recoup their modest investment in YouDoPR by taking advantage of vendor discounts, such as the popular Combined Book Exhibit (CBE) trade show book marketing representation service," adds Smith. "Signing up for just one or two shows through our discounted price with CBE more than covers the cost of a monthly premium membership."

"The bottom line: Through YouDoPR, authors can in fact get media interested in their books just as a book marketing firm or professional book publicist would do, and save thousands and thousands of dollars. It's already happening."

Become A Nurse?

SuperScholar.org Publishes First Annual Smart Choice Ranking of Schools for Online Nursing Degrees

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 7, 2012 -- Online education and career information website SuperScholar published its first annual "Smart Choice" ranking of the top 25 schools for online nursing degrees. The ranking can be found at here.

SuperScholar editors developed the Smart Choice ranking as a tool to help prospective students make a smart choice about where to invest in their education. The ranking helps fill a void in quality, unbiased rankings and reviews of online nursing schools. In order to be considered for inclusion in the ranking, an institution had to be a regionally accredited college or university listed in the National Center for Education Statistics database and offer an online nursing degree program accredited by either the CCNE or NLNAC.

The nursing schools that met this initial accreditation criterion were then evaluated based on reputation and prestige, program quality, student satisfaction and cost. The result is a ranking of online nursing schools that offers prospective students a helpful tool for making a smart choice about where to earn an online nursing degree.

The University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, earned the honor of the top Smart Choice school for an online nursing degree. Other ranked schools include (in alphabetical order):
  • Anna Maria College
  • Benedictine University
  • Chamberlain College of Nursing

Change Your Life?

Rudyard Kipling's Poem "If" Inspires Virtue-al Online Literary Magazine

Soul-searching through books and music created by great minds of the past and present

ATLANTA, Jan. 27, 2012  -- What if there were an online magazine exclusively for people with the desire to change their lives and face the future as the person they were born to be? What if the magazine aspired to address modern challenges with the best that human thought has produced, bringing together literature, poetry and music spanning centuries and yet to be written? And what if every article in this magazine provided new, hopeful perspectives and, ultimately, an attitude upgrade? All Things If™ is here.

In an overwhelming world, we often lose touch with some intangible things—our happiness, our compassion, our integrity, our best selves. We need to be reminded there's an approach to life that gives us everything we want at no cost to our honor. Many of the ideas and guidelines are already out there.

Founder and managing editor Misha Shengaout says, "I've had my share of life's lumps just like everyone else. We all have to do some serious soul searching to keep making sense of why we're here and how to keep moving forward. Some of the brightest minds in history struggled with these questions, so I've always dreamed of a place to match our existential frustrations with the inspiring answers they've already found. One of the greatest examples is Rudyard Kipling's famous poem "If", where—in 32 short lines—he defines the ideal of human character. The poem gives our magazine its name."

Socrates said, "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others have labored hard for." With those words in mind, All Things If features original fiction, non-fiction, editorials and poetry, as well as book and music reviews leading subscribers to thought-provoking authors and musicians, including relevant fiction and non-fiction works by international writers never before translated into English.

To celebrate the magazine's launch, All Things If will soon announce its inaugural writing contest, "IF you can write…" The contest is open to all, with cash prizes for non-fiction and fiction. Writers will be asked to incorporate one of the ideals expressed in the poem "If" in their submissions. Time to discover what truly great minds think!

Sing Sweetly?

Love to Sing? Sweet! Sweet Adelines International Is Teaching the World to Sing

TULSA, Okla., Jan. 12, 2012  -- Sweet Adelines International is one of the world's largest music education associations for women. Members extend over five continents and belong to more than 500 choruses. This month, choruses from all over the globe are teaching the world to sing by participating in an organization-wide Global Open House event. Women of all ages who enjoy singing are invited to find and visit a Sweet Adelines International chorus during the month of January.

Sweet Adelines International endows nearly 23,000 members with the mastery of singing barbershop harmony. This style of music is defined as unaccompanied, close-harmony singing produced by four parts: lead, tenor, baritone and bass. The a cappella style and the ear training necessary for independent part singing make it one of the most challenging and rewarding accomplishments of a vocal ensemble. When the music is sung accurately and with good breath support and vocal techniques, barbershop harmony produces overtone vibrations that create a resonant ring unique to this form of music.

Local choruses are the laboratories where members receive basic training in barbershop harmony. Programs are designed to inspire women to reach their full singing potential. Any woman of average singing ability, with or without vocal training, will find a part that fits her voice range.

Members enjoy unlimited training and educational opportunities as well as spectacular performance, entertainment and competition possibilities. It's a rich, rewarding experience to sing with a worldwide community of friends who value the joy of singing four-part, a cappella harmony.

To find a local chorus and for more information about Sweet Adelines International, call toll-free 1.800.992.7464 or 918.622.1444, email commdept@sweetadelineintl.org or visit http://www.sweetadelineintl.org/. Get An Online Degree?

U.S.News & World Report Announces Inaugural Top Online Education Program Rankings

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10, 2012 -- U.S.News & World Report released today the first-ever edition of Top Online Education Program rankings. Online bachelor's degree programs as well as graduate online degree programs in business, engineering, nursing, education, and computer information technology were ranked. There will be no print component to the Online Education rankings, and the full data and rankings will only be available through the subscription-based U.S. News Online Compass.

These rankings are in response to today's high demand for education provided in a flexible manner. With many distractions to detract from one's schooling, online education has become increasingly popular due to its adaptability.

"Online learning has fast become an integral part of education," said U.S.News & World Report Editor and Chief Content Officer Brian Kelly. "People are hungry for more information regarding online education and we are in a position to give these people the best information available."

While U.S. News has applied some of its ranking standards used for traditional schools, many new measures have been developed and were used to evaluate online programs. In order to be considered for the rankings, online degree programs needed to have at least 80 percent of their course content available online.

Online bachelor's degree programs were ranked in three different categories: student engagement and assessment, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology. The online master's degree programs were ranked in similar categories, but were evaluated on student engagement and accreditation as opposed to assessment. There was also a separate indicator ranking for admissions selectivity.

There were no numeric rankings for overall program quality this inaugural year. Instead, U.S. News created non-numeric honor roll lists of online programs. There is one honor roll for online bachelor's degree programs and one each for the master's degree programs, excluding computer information technology. Each list includes programs that performed well across a series of numeric indicator rankings.

Data was collected from both for-profit and not-for-profit schools. For more information about the ranking methodology, please go to http://www.usnews.com/onlinemeth.

"The importance of online education will only continue to grow and it is something that U.S. News is excited to be a part of," said Kelly. "We will continue developing how we evaluate online programs so that we can provide the best information we can to help people make their right choice."
